Psychiatric illnesses: From Freud to their Biological Mechanisms

Ever since Freud developed psychoanalysis in Vienna in the 19th Century, the field of psychiatry has seen leaps of scientific advancements. In-Sens, a Marie Curie ITN is organising the symposium “Psychiatric Illnesses - From Freud to their biological mechanisms” as its culminating meeting, providing a platform for scientific exchange between leading scientists and young researchers.

Through this symposium, we bring together renowned researchers from diverse fields of neuroscience and psychiatric illness research to facilitate learning and collaboration amongst the scientists and to provide an overview on the current knowledge on the causes of psychiatric illnesses.
